KAMU Green Initiatives focuses on four core pillars of empowerment. Each programme is designed to address the specific needs of rural and peri-urban youth in Muranga and Machakos County, Kenya. We believe that a small practice from young people can do wonders in the community.
Through partnerships with public and private institutes, governments, and the corporate world, our programmes equip youth with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to become self-dependent and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the wider Kenyan economy.
We provide access to quality education and literacy support to youth in Muranga and Machakos County. Through partnerships with public and private educational institutes, we ensure that talented rural and urban youth receive the guidance and resources they need to fulfil their academic potential and open doors to a better future.
KAMU Green promotes sustainable farming practices and agricultural empowerment as a path out of poverty. We support youth and smallholder farmers with training in modern agriculture, seed provision, water conservation techniques, and market linkages — ensuring food security and economic independence for families in remote communities.
Our demand-driven Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes equip youth with practical, market-relevant skills. By connecting learners with employers and the corporate world, KAMU Green ensures that trained youth can find employment or establish small-scale enterprises, breaking the cycle of poverty through skills and self-reliance.
KAMU Green champions regional and international Green TVET initiatives that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. From tree planting and environmental conservation to green energy awareness, we integrate environmental stewardship into every programme — nurturing communities that are economically strong and environmentally responsible.
