KAMU (Kayole and Mananja United) was launched in 2026 with the aim of empowering youth — especially unprivileged communities — in Muranga and Machakos County of Kenya, Africa.
Our efforts are focused on demand-driven training, promotion of jobs, networking with governments, partners, and the corporate world, and promotion of regional Green TVET initiatives. We serve all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
Fr. Sudhir Parmar SDB
Inspiration
Fr. Sudhir is a Priest of the Salesians of Don Bosco. KAMU Green Initiatives is his dream — working for the most in need and marginalized, especially providing guidance and empowerment to youth. He worked in South Sudan from 2011 to 2016, Sudan 2006–2007 and 2016–2023, and was then assigned to Kenya. He has spent many years in Africa, dedicated to the empowerment and animation of youth. Having discerned the need for quality education and youth financial empowerment, he saw that talented rural and urban youth lack the accompaniment and references needed to be employed or to do business. KAMU is his response — to teach youth to be self-dependent through small-scale business and agricultural endeavors, fighting poverty at the grassroots.
